NITROUS OXIDE SEDATION

Nitrous oxide sedation is a safe and effective form of mild sedation and analgesia.  It may reduce anxiety and provide some analgesia for patients during their treatment.  It reduces anxiety and pain, as well as altering the patient’s perception of time and memory of the procedure.

Unlike other forms of sedation, it is rapidly metabolized and the majority of patients have minimal residual effects after the procedure.

This is the only form of sedation where you might be able to drive yourself home after the procedure.
