DIGITAL X-RAYS

Digital radiography has many benefits compared with traditional film radiography:

Digital x-rays use much less radiation to produce an image (up to 70-80% depending on the image)

The image can be enhanced  in real time to aid in diagnosis.

Digital radiography does not use hazardous chemicals or materials for processing the image.  These chemicals can be damaging to the environment.

The grey-scale of digital x-rays offers 256 shades of grey.  Traditional film x-rays only have 16-25.

Accompanying this technology, we use lead-free x-ray aprons to protect patients during their x-ray imaging.
